Hello, I’m Katie.

I’m the daughter of an accomplished professional photojournalist, creativity has long been a part of my family culture.  I have always had a passion for photography.  The ability to capture the moment, with all of its complexities and emotions has always intrigued me and driven the growth of my natural artistic side

As much as photography is a part of me, it is not my only passion.  I am married to Craig, an amazing man that has been my greatest source of support. Together, we share a wonderful life, but most rewarding is being the parents of our two adorable girls, they keep us very busy and have shown us the kind of joy and happiness that only a parent could understand. 

As most Photographers, I love natural light- My photography has a tendency to candidly represent what I see as a very natural and organic side of life and nature.  My photos expose a very true and raw side that often becomes forgotten in our daily lives. I also have a studio if you prefer indoors with many different back drops.

I don’t specialize in any one type of photography because I loves the variety of doing it all; from families, seniors, residents, weddings, advertising, magazines, and live shows and events. I work with two local magazines, Lyon Today & Hidden Lakes, I’m also a concert photographer for MGM Grand Casino Detroit.

I’m grateful to be able to be there for my daughters, and I’m part of the PTO at school, I design the school yearbook, volunteer and help plan events. I’m also very involved in the South Lyon community and is a part of their downtown development team.

As my own harshest critic, I know that there will always be room for improvement.  Every time I hold the camera, I learn something new and exciting.  When I work with person or a family, I like to get to know them so that I may capture the truest and purest parts of their personalities.  My goal is to incorporate all of their wonderful ideas with my unique style of photography to create the type of photos that will always bring you back to that wonderful moment in your family’s life.

I’m open and friendly and love to engage with my clients like they are friends and family. I like to get to know my clients so I can capture the truest and purest parts of their personalities. I believe to have the fastest turnaround time in the area, because I do not like things piling up and can deliver the photos within 24 hours. I’m very flexible and accommodating and can work with kids who have special needs, like touch, sound, and sensory. My packages are affordable, and I’m pretty transparent with my pricing I tell my clients all the information they need to know before the session, with no surprises at the end.
